NXT North American Championship Match Made Official For NXT Spring Breakin’ 2022
Melo is looking to get the North American Championship back.
On April 2 at NXT Stand & Deliver, Carmelo Hayes put the North American Championship on the line in a Ladder Match. Unfortunately for him, it was Cameron Grimes who would walk away from the WrestleMania weekend event with what Melo had been referring to as the “A-Title.”
During the April 19 episode of NXT 2.0, Hayes defeated Santos Escobar thanks to outside interference from a couple of Tony D’Angelo’s associates. After the bell, Melo challenged Grimes to a title match at Spring Breakin’ on May 3, which the champion accepted.
Solo Sikoa, however, crashed their encounter and attacked Carmelo and Trick Williams, telling Grimes that he has next. Carmelo interfered in Solo’s title match last week, something he was intent on getting retribution for.
It was announced later in the night that the three men would face off for the North American Championship in a Triple Threat Match at Spring Breakin’ on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
