NXT Championship Match, Match Finalized, “Ab Contest” Set For NXT Takeover: War Games, Full Card
Several storylines progressed on tonight's episode of WWE NXT, and next month's NXT Takeover: War Games card is filling up.
Drew McIntyre will defend his NXT Championship against Andrade Cien Almas at the show. Almas has never had a championship match on a Takeover PPV. The two have been working together on the NXT house show circuit to the tune of 15 times thus far in preparation of the bout. On television, Almas has picked up big wins recently over Roderick Strong, Johnny Gargano (twice), Cezar Bononi and No Way Jose since the summer.
Speaking of Johnny Gargano, he'll square off with Texas' own "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels…kind of. The two will have an "ab competition on the show.
Also for NXT Takeover: War Games, Nikki Cross gained the fourth and final spot in the Fatal 4-Way Championship match for the vacant NXT Women's Championship. Cross won a battle royal to join Peyton Royce, Ember Moon and Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane.
You can see the full card below. Fightful.com will have full, live coverage of the November 18 event, including a live, post-show podcast.
