Number One Contender For AEW Women’s Championship Decided On 3/9 AEW Dynamite, Cage Match Announced
Britt Baker’s next challenger for the AEW Women’s World Championship has been decided.
During the March 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, Thunder Rosa faced “Legit” Leyla Hirsch in a Number One Contenders Match. The winner would earn a title shot against Britt Baker next Wednesday at the St. Patrick’s Day Slam edition of Dynamite.
Rosa competed against Baker at AEW Revolution, but Rebel and Jamie Hayter’s presence at ringside was too much for her to overcome, ultimately losing the match. Hirsch was also in action at Revolution, defeating Kris Statlander on the Buy-In show.
The match on Dynamite was won by Rosa after she hit a Thunder Driver on Hirsch. After the bell, Tony Schiavone announced that Thunder Rosa would face Baker next Wednesday in a Cage Match. Last year at St. Patrick’s Day Slam, Rosa and Baker faced off in a classic Lights Out Match.
