Noam Dar Reflects On His WWE Main Roster Debut, Says He Was Worried About Casual Fans
Noam Dar looks back at that Fall 2016 day.
The 25-year old “Scottish Supernova” Noam Dar is almost three years into his run with WWE. Dar is a member of the 205 Live and NXT U.K. roster and he spent time as a member of the RAW roster when Cruiserweights were spotlighted on the show. In December of 2017 it was announced that Noam suffered a knee injury and that injury kept him out of action until the summer of 2018 where he returned to in-ring competition at the WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament tapings at ‘Royal Albert Hall’.
Dar returned to his native Scotland last weekend for ‘Insane Championship Wrestling’s’ ‘Fear & Loathing XI’ show in Glasgow and Dar made the rounds on the media circuit to promote the show. One of the outlets that had the opportunity to chat with Dar was ‘GlasgowLive’ and during the conversation Dar reflected on his main roster debut from November 7th of 2016 in his home-country of Scotland. Dar stated that he did not expect it to go as well as it did because he was worried that there would be too many causal fans in attendance who did not know who he was.
“Honestly, I didn’t expect it to be that good because I was concerned that there was going to be so many casual WWE fans. At that point, I think the most I had to deform to was a couple of thousand at the SECC at ICW, so I was very apprehensive about if that would carry over to the casual Scottish fans that only watch WWE.” Dar said. “But it was like a dream scenario for me and I’m grateful that I had that experience and opportunity.”
