NJPW Wrestlers Coming To The Crash
The Crash Lucha Libre got some of the wrestlers they wanted.
The Crash is a California based wrestling promotion which specializes in Lucha Libre and ran by Konnan. As The Wrestling Observer has reported, The Crash has struck a deal to use some of New Japan Pro Wrestling's talent. The wrestlers being shared with The Crash will include The Young Bucks, War Machine, and Ricochet.
Konnan started The Crash in 2011 and in the recent years he has signed some of AAA's former wrestlers like Penta El Zero M and now Ricochet who appears on the AAA owned Lucha Underground. The Crash was originally blocked from using the New Japan Pro Wrestling talent but a deal was struck. hOWEVER, wrestlers like Kazuchika Okada, Kenny Omega, and Cody Rhodes were blocked.
The wrestlers New Japan Pro Wrestling allowed The Crash to use included some of their champions. War Machine holds the IWGP Tag-Team Championship and Ricochet is one half of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag-Team Champions. It is unclear why the others were blocked but Cody Rhodes was asked for and not received because of Ring of Honor's relationship with CMLL (one of The Crash's competitors). Rhodes recently won the Ring of Honor World Championship
On Wednesday, The Crash held an event which featured wrestlers like Fenix El Rey, Penta El Zero M, Willie Mack, and Jack Evans. The next event for The Crash is on September 29th in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico according to the organization's Facebook page.
