Match By Match Recap

The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. Dragon Lee & Titan

The match begins with Lee tripping up Nick before they go through a series of reversals, Nick and Lee take turns leg sweeping each other. Matt hits the ring and Lee fights off both Bucks, Titan hits the ring and he sends the Bucks out of the ring. Lee and Titan take out the Bucks with suicide dives, Lee gets Nick back in the ring and he works him over in the corner, Titan hits the ring and double team Nick in the corner with Lee. Matt hits the ring and he gets taken out with a drop kick alongside his brother by both opponents, Nick gets Titan out of the ring with a springboard drop kick. Nick then drops Lee before catching Titan with a dive on the arena floor, Matt tags in and he works over Lee.

Matt grabs a leaping Lee to buckle bomb him into an enzaguri from Nick, the Bucks then lock both of their opponents in sharp shooters. Nick tags in and Matt accidentally nails him with a super kick, Titan tags in and the Bucks take him out with a rope assisted swanton bomb. Matt tags back in and Lee takes Nick out with a hurricrana on the ring apron to the arena floor, Matt then hits Lee with a tornado DDT on the ring apron. Titan then takes out both opponents with a moonsault on the arena floor, Titan gets Matt in the ring and Matt catches him in midair. The Bucks hits Titan with the Indytaker, The Bucks then lock Titan in the Cease & Desist to force a submission.

Winners: The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)

Hirai Kawato, Kushida, Tiger Mask IV, Jushin “Thunder” Liger & Juice Robinson vs. Suzuki-Gun (Zack Sabre Jr., Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Taichi, El Desparado & Taka Michinoku)

Round One: The round begins with an all out brawl breaking out between everybody in the match, Sabre Jr gets Robinson out of the ring while pulling on his hair. Desparado and Kanemaru try ripping the masks off the faces of Mask IV and Liger, Liger and Mask IV clear the ring before Liger locks Kanemaru in the surfboard hold. Liger then takes on Kanemaru and Desparado with a DDT/flat liner combination, Robinson and Sabre Jr get the tags from their respective partners. Sabre Jr assaults Robinson with strikes before applying the octopus stretch, Robinson gets free to nail Sabre Jr with a gut buster.

Kushida tags in and he takes out the majority of the opposing team, Kushida then catches Michinoku with a hip toss into a drop kick. Suzuki-Gun clears the ring before they all work over Kushida, another all out brawl breaks out on the arena floor. Kushida then locks Michinoku in the Hoverboard Lock until Sabre Jr breaks it all up, Mask IV eventually takes out Kanemaru with a suicide dive. Kawato also catches Sabre Jr with a suicide dive, Kushida locks Michinoku in the Hoverboard Lock again and a tap out follows.

Winners: Hirai Kawato, Kushida, Tiger Mask IV, Jushin “Thunder” Liger & Juice Robinson

Togi Makabe, Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima vs. Bulley Club (Cody, Chase Owens & Yujiro Takahashi)

The match begins with Bullet Club jumping their opponents as the bell sounds, Tenzan recovers and he drops Owens. Kojima hits the ring and he works with Tenzan to drop Takahashi with a double shoulder tackle, Tenzan and Kojima then hit Takahashi with a headbutt/elbow drop combo. Tenzan catches Owens with a suplex as things settle down in the ring, Cody distracts Tenzan again and that allows Bullet Club to work him over. Cody stays in the ring and he stomps away on a downed Tenzan, Takahashi tags in and he also stomps away on Tenzan.

Takahashi would then catch Tenzan with a snap mare that is followed by a leg drop for a near fall, Owens tags in and he nails Tenzan with Mongolian chops. Cody tags back in and Tenzan catches him with a Samoan drop, Makabe tags in and he cleans house on the opposing team. Makabe then hits all three members of Bullet Club with power slams, Makabe then nails a charging Cody with a clothesline for the near fall. Cody quickly recovers and he drops Makabe with the Beautiful Disaster, Makabe recovers and he drops Cody. Kojima and Owens get the tags from their respective partners, Kojima traps Owens in the corner to attack him with machinegun chops.

Kojima then catches Owens with a running forearm strike in the corner, Bullet Club hits the ring to work over Kojima for a near fall. Owens goes for a package pile driver and Tenzan stops it from happening, Makabe takes out Takahashi and Cody with a running clothesline. Kojima catches Owens with a Cozy Lariat for the three count.

Winners: Togi Makabe, Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima

NJPW 2017 Super Junior Tag Team Tournament Finals: Roppongi 3K (Sho & Yoh) w/Rocky Romero vs. Super 69 (Ryusuke Taguchi & ACH)

The match begins with Roppongi 3K trying to jump their opponents and they get caught, Taguchi nails both opponents with running back elbow strikes in the corner. ACH works over Yoh in one corner as Taguchi works over Sho in the other, Roppongi 3K regain control and they knock their opponents out of the ring. Roppongi 3K then take out both of their opponents with suicide dives, Roppongi 3K trap ACH inside of the ring while nailing him with double team moves. Sho stays in the ring with ACH and he works over his injured rib cage, Yoh tags in and he attacks the injured ribs of ACH in the corner.

Yoh sends ACH into the ropes before catching him with a knee lift, Sho tags back in and ACH attacks him with a few strikes. Sho slows ACH down before slamming him on his injured ribs for a near fall, Yoh tags in and he kicks ACH right in the midsection. Yoh crushes ACH with a running clothesline in the corner before locking him in an abdominal stretch, ACH eventually breaks free of the hold and he nails Yoh with a double stomp. Taguchi tags in and he immediately cleans house on the opposing team, Taguchi also attacks both members of the opposing team with hip attacks.

Roppongi 3K retreat to the arena floor and Taguchi catches them with suicide dives, Taguchi gets Yoh in the ring and he applies the ankle lock. Taguchi releases the hold and he catches Yoh with a series of suplexes, Yoh breaks free and Taguchi eventually clobbers him with an enzaguri. Sho tags in and Taguchi kicks him right in the face, Sho then hits Taguchi with an atomic drop before eating a hip attack. ACH tags in and he immediately cleans house on the opposing team, ACH destroys Sho with a tornado clothesline in the corner. ACH then hits a charging Sho with an enzaguri, ACH misses a frog splash and he lands on his injured rib cage.

Sho picks up ACH and he quickly drops him with a series of forearm strikes, Roppongi 3K hit the ring and they level ACH with a double knee strike. ACH fights back and he knocks Sho out of the ring, Sho quickly gets back in to nail ACH with a super kick. Roppongi 3K go for their finisher and Taguchi breaks it up, Taguchi then attacks his opponents with hip attacks. Taguchi then hits Sho with a tiger suplex and ACH then hits Sho with the Midnight Star for a near fall, Super 69 goes for their finisher and Roppongi 3K work together to hit Taguchi with a series of holds.

Roppongi 3K then hit Taguchi with their finisher before turning their attention to ACH, Yoh hits ACH with a lung blower before Sho lands a shotgun drop kick. Roppongi 3K hit ACH with their finisher to get the three count.

Winners: Roppongi 3K (Sho & Yoh) w/Rocky Romero

After the match, The Young Bucks hit the ring and they challenge Roppongi 3K for the IWGP Junior Tag Team Titles and Rocky Romero accepts for his team.

Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Gedo, Tomohiro Ishii, Yoshi-Hashi & Hirooki Goto) vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Hiromu Takahashi, Bushi, Evil & Sanada)

The match begins with Ishii and Evil exchanging a series of shoulder tackles, Evil eventually drops Ishii with a shoulder block. Ishii recovers and he drops a charging Evil with a shoulder tackle, Takahashi and Yoshi-Hashi get the tags from their partners. Takahashi attacks Yoshi-Hashi with chops after a distraction from Naito, Yoshi-Hashi recovers and he drops Takahashi with a series of maneuvers. Sanada interferes and he attacks Yoshi-Hashi as a brawl breaks out between everybody in the match, Naito grabs Okada and he slams him on the entrance ramp.

Bushi tags in and he works over Yoshi-Hashi with strikes in the corner, Sanada tags in and he double teams Yoshi-Hashi with Evil. Yoshi-Hashi starts fighting back and he drops a charging Sanada with a low drop kick, Naito hits the ring and he eats a kick from Yoshi-Hashi. Yoshi-Hashi then hits Sanada with a neck breaker before tagging Goto in, Goto hits the ring and he cleans house on the opposing team. Goto would eventually nail Takahashi with a suplex onto Evil, Goto catches Sanada with a Saito suplex for a near fall. Goto nails Sanada with a series of strikes after a bunch of reversals, Sana recovers and he hits Goto with a springboard drop kick.

Naito and Okada get the tags from their respective partners, Naito and Okada get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Okada eventually drops Naito with a flying back elbow strike followed by a DDT, Naito recovers to hit Okada with an inverted atomic drop followed by a neck breaker. Naito then hits Okada with a drop kick in the corner before landing a top rope hurricrana for a near fall, Naito then hits Okada with an enzaguri. Naito looks for a tornado DDT and Okada plants him on the mat below, Bushi tags in and he hits Okada with a missile drop kick.

Los Ingobernables hit the ring to work over Okada for a near fall, Okada eventually nails an interfering Naito with a tombstone pile driver. Okada hits Bushi with the Rainmaker for the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Gedo, Tomohiro Ishii, Yoshi-Hashi & Hirooki Goto)

IWGP NEVER Openweight Title Match (Bull Rope Match): Minoru Suzuki (Champion) vs. Toru Yano

The match begins with Yano jumping Suzuki before he gets the bull rope tied to him, Suzuki-Gun members jump Yano and Suzuki gets the bull rope attached to him. Suzuki quickly attacks Yano some more with a bunch of strikes before dragging him out of the ring, Suzuki grabs Yano and he throws him into the barricade. Suzuki drags Yano up the entrance ramp before nailing him with knee strikes, Yano tries escaping and Suzuki kicks him in the face. Suzuki bends the arm of Yano in some unnatural ways, Suzuki then uses the rope to choke Yano before he throws him into the barricade.

Suzuki stands Yano up and he attacks him with chops before choking him with the bull rope, Suzuki drags Yano back into the ring. Suzuki wraps the rope around the neck of Yano before hanging him over the ropes, Suzuki-Gun members attack Yano and Hirooki Goto comes out to get rid of them. Suzuki gets Yano in the ring and he bends the arm of Yano in unnatural ways again, Suzuki locks Yano in the cross arm breaker. Suzuki releases the hold to attack Yano with some more strikes, Yano eventually removes the turnbuckle pad before Suzuki attacks him with more strikes. Yano recovers and he throws Suzuki into the exposed corner a few times, Yano then hangs Suzuki with the bull rope.

Takahashi Iizuka makes his way to the ring and the distraction allows Suzuki to attack Yano, Suzuki traps Yano in the ropes while assaulting him with strikes. Suzuki grabs a chair and he attacks Yano with it, Yano causes the referee to fall down before he attacks Suzuki with the chair. Yano nails Suzuki with a power bomb just as Taichi hits the ring to attack the ref, Yano takes care of Taichi and Iizuka attacks Yano with the chair. Iizuka accidentally hits Suzuki with the iron glove, Yano catches Suzuki with a low blow and roll up for a near fall. Suzuki recovers and he wraps the rope around Yano before nailing him with a drop kick, Suzuki locks Yano in the sleeper hold before landing the Gotch style pile driver for the three count.

Winner: Minoru Suzuki, still the IWGP NEVER Openweight Champion

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match: Will Ospreay (Champion) vs. Marty Scurll

Round One: The round begins with Scurll taking Ospreay down and then using a little chain wrestling, Scurll starts working over the arm of Ospreay. Ospreay gets free and he starts working on the arm of Scurll, Ospreay then catches Scurll with a springboard arm drag followed by a hurricrana. Scurll gets Ospreay out of the ring before dropping him on top of the barricade, Scurll drags Ospreay into the crowd before throwing him into a bunch of chairs. Scurll gets Ospreay back into the ring and he slams him by using his arm, Scurll smashes the arm of Ospreay on the mat below.

Scurll continues lifting Ospreay by the arm and then slamming him on the mat below, Ospreay recovers to hit Scurll with a handspring enzaguri. Ospreay drops Scurll a few times before landing a Code Red for a near fall, Ospreay and Scurll go through a series of roll ups for near falls. Scurll gets up first and he drops Ospreay with a super kick to the knee, Ospreay gets back up to catch a charging Scurll with a one man Spanish fly. Ospreay picks up Scurll and he drops him with a single forearm strike, Ospreay and Scurll have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring.

Ospreay eventually traps Scurll in the corner before catching him with a super kick for a near fall, Scurll recovers to catch a leaping Ospreay with a European uppercut. Ospreay recovers and he knocks Scurll out of the ring with a stunner, Scurll avoids a dive from Ospreay to nail him with a super kick. Scurll gets Ospreay back into the ring for a near fall on a pin attempt, Scurll gets Ospreay to his knees before attacking him with strikes. Ospreay eventually drills Scurll with a super kick followed by a back fist after a series of reversals, Ospreay then hits Scurll with an elevated reverse DDT for a near fall.

Ospreay misses a leap from the ropes before landing a second Code Red, Scurll gets his knees up on a diving Ospreay and he catches him with a roll up for a near fall. Scurll grabs the hand of Ospreay and he snaps his fingers, Ospreay recovers to nail Scurll with a series of kicks. Scurll gets back up the drop a charging Ospreay with a clothesline and a flip DDT for a near fall, Scurll goes for the chicken wing and Ospreay breaks free to nail him with an enzaguri. Ospreay keeps Scurll trapped in the ropes and he nails him with a shooting star press for a near fall, Ospreay then hits a downed Scurll with a spinning kick.

Ospreay goes for the Os Cutter and Scurll catches him in the chicken wing, Ospreay breaks free and Scurll rolls him up for the three count.

Winner: Marty Scurll, the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion

After the match, Kushida and Hiromu Takahashi both come out to challenge Marty Scurll, plus Will Ospreay demands a rematch. Scurll grabs the microphone and he says he will take on all three men at the same time in a Fatal 4 Way Match.

IWGP United States Title Match: Kenny Omega (Champion) w/The Young Bucks vs. Berretta

The match begins with Omega doing some work on the arm of Berretta, Berretta gets angry and he nails Omega with a slap to the face. Berretta then crushes Omega with a rope assisted double stomp, Omega rolls to the arena floor and Berretta catches him with a dive. Omega finds a table and he lays it flat on the arena floor before suplexing Berretta on it, Omega follows that up with a double stomp onto Berretta. Omega returns to the ring before taking Berretta out with a suicide dive, Omega brings Berretta back into the ring to land a Kitaro Crusher for a near fall.

Omega attacks the injured back of Berretta by landing some forearm strikes, Berretta starts fighting back and Omega stops him with a back body drop. Omega then hits Berretta with a Finlay Roll, Omega then goes for a middle rope moonsault and Berretta gets his knees up. Berretta gets up and he attacks Omega with some strikes, Omega recovers to crush Berretta with an enzaguri followed by a snap dragon suplex. Berretta gets back up and he immediately nails Omega with a tornado DDT, Berretta traps Omega in the ropes before landing some kind of German suplex.

Berretta goes for a pile driver on the ring apron and Omega catches him with a back body drop instead, Omega gets Berretta in the ring to land a cross legged neck breaker for a near fall. Berretta recovers and he crotches Omega on the top rope, Berretta goes to the top rope and Omega drops him face first on the top turnbuckle. Omega follows that up by nailing Berretta with a double under hook pile driver for a near fall, Omega goes to the top rope and Berretta nails him with a German suplex. Berretta follows that up with a running knee strike, Berretta then crushes Omega with a pile driver for a near fall.

Berretta drags Omega to the ring apron before nailing him with another pile driver, Berretta goes for a suicide dive and he winds up crashing through a table. Omega then hits Berretta with a few snap dragon suplexes in the ring, Omega holds Berretta down while landing chops to his back. Omega crushes Berretta with a power bomb followed by a V Trigger, Omega then lands a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Omega nails Berretta with another V Trigger followed by a snap dragon suplex, Berretta recovers to nail a charging Omega with a lariat. Omega recovers and Berretta still catches him with the Dude Buster for a near fall, Berretta and Omega have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring.

Omega eventually drops Berretta and he kicks him in his injured back, Omega then hits Berretta with a V Trigger followed by a reverse hurricrana for a near fall. Omega hits Berretta with the V Trigger followed by a One Winged Angel for a three count.

Winner: Kenny Omega, still the IWGP United States Champion

After the match, Kenny Omega wondered who his next challenger would be and Chris Jericho appears on the big screen after a countdown. Jericho says Omega is not the best in the world because he is, Jericho challenges Omega for a match at Wrestlekingdom. Omega grabs the microphone and Omega accepts the challenge.

IWGP Intercontinental Title Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi (Champion) vs. Kota Ibushi

The match begins with the wrestlers doing a little chain wrestling, Tanahashi starts working over the arm of Ibushi. Tanahashi takes Ibushi down and he holds him in a head scissors, Tanahashi transitions to a chin lock against Ibushi. Ibushi gets free and he knocks Tanahashi out of the ring with a drop kick, Ibushi looks for a Golden Triangle and Tanahashi gets out of the way. Tanahashi then knocks Ibushi down the arena floor with a drop kick of his own, Tanahashi gets Ibushi back in the ring and he nails the injured leg of Ibushi with knee strikes.

Tanahashi slows things down by holding Ibushi in a modified Indian death lock, Tanahashi then attacks Ibushi with a dragon screw leg whip. Tanahashi drags Ibushi to the ring apron before destroying his leg with elbow strikes, Tanahashi and Ibushi get into a striking exchange on the arena floor. Tanahashi gets Ibushi in the ring as he continues attacking his injured leg, Ibushi tries fighting back and he winds up injuring his knee in the end. Tanahashi and Ibushi get into another striking exchange in the ring, Ibushi eventually drops Tanahashi and he nails him with a double stomp.

Ibushi drops Tanahashi with a series of kicks before landing a standing moonsault for a near fall, Tanahashi drops Ibushi again after nailing the injured leg with a chop block. Ibushi quickly recovers to knock Tanahashi to the arena floor with a hurricrana, Ibushi then hits Tanahashi with the Golden Triangle. Tanahashi gets back in the ring first and he catches Ibushi with a rope assisted dragon screw leg whip, Ibushi attacks Tanahashi with more kicks until Tanahashi drops him with another dragon screw leg whip. Tanahashi then locks the downed Ibushi in the Texas cloverleaf, Tanahashi releases the hold and he stretches the leg of Ibushi in the ropes.

Ibushi recovers and he clobbers Tanahashi with a knee strike to the midsection, Tanahashi recvers to nail Ibushi with another dragon screw leg whip. Ibushi rolls to the arena floor and Tanahashi nails him with a High Fly Flow, Tanahashi gets Ibushi in the ring and Tanahashi catches him with a sling blade for a near fall. Ibushi gets up and he nails Tanahashi with a back flip kick, Ibushi then hits Tanahashi with a top rope hurricarana for a near fall. Ibushi waits a short time before nailing Tanahashi with a lawn dart into the corner, Ibushi crushes Tanahashi with a middle rope release German suplex for a near fall.

Ibushi then goes for the phoenix splash and Tanahashi gets out of the way, Tanahashi goes for the High Fly Flow and Ibushi moves out of the way. Tanahashi and Ibushi get into another striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Ibushi backs Tanahashi into the corner with a striking combination. Ibushi eventually drops Tanahashi with a front kick to the midsection, Tanahashi eventually gets up and he attacks Ibushi with his own striking combination. Ibushi then hits Tanahashi with a sit out power bomb for a near fall, Ibushi goes for another power bomb and Tanahashi breaks free to land multiple twisting neck breakers.

Ibushi quickly gets up and he nails Tanahashi with a kick to the head, Tanahashi avoids an Ibushi knee strike to nail him with a sling blade followed by a dragon suplex for a near fall. Tanahashi nails Ibushi with a pair of High Fly Flows for the three count.

Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi, still the IWGP Intercontinental Champion

After the match, the Hiroshi Tanahashi celebration is cut short when the "switchblade" video plays on the big screen and it turns out "switchblade" is Jay White. White makes his way to the ring and he goes face to face with Tanahashi, White says he is going to take the title away from Tanahashi. Tanahashi and White get into a brawl until White nails Tanahashi with a neck breaker.
