Katsuya Kitamura Best Of Seven Series Match #6: Katsuya Kitamura vs. Yuji Nagata

The match begins with both wrestlers going for takedowns and neither scores one, Nagata catches Kitamura in a headlock. Nagata tries dropping Kitamura with shoulder tackles and Kitamura winds up dropping him with one, Kitamura catches Nagata with a slam afterwards. Kitamura gets Nagata to his feet before applying a front face lock, Nagata gets free and he drops Kitamura with a drop toe hold. Nagata goes for the Fujiwara Arm Bar on Kitamura until Kitamura gets to the ropes, Nagata kicks away at a downed Kitamura. Nagata kicks Kitamura into the corner and Kitamura attacks him with chops, Kitamura and Nagata have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring.

Nagata eventually drops Kitamura with a kick to the leg, Kitamura gets up and Nagata attacks him with some more kicks. Nagata corners Kitamura before assaulting him with some more strikes, Kitamura recovers to nail a charging Nagata with a shoulder tackle. Kitamura then assaults Nagata with strikes in the corner before landing a running back elbow strike, Kitamura follows that up with a gut wrench suplex on Nagata for a near fall. Kitamura then hits Nagata with a power slam for another near fall, Kitamura applies the torture rack to Nagata and Nagata gets free. Kitamura goes back to attacking Nagata with chops, Nagata responds by landing a combination of his own. Nagata briefly drops Kitamura before kicking him in the face, Kitamura catches a kick from Nagata to hit him with a spine buster for a near fall.

Kitamura then hits Nagata with a spear for another near fall, Kitamura goes for the jack hammer and Nagata gets from to apply the Nagata Lock. Nagata transitions to an arm bar and Kitamura gets to the ropes, Nagata corners Kitamura before landing a running knee strike followed by an exploder suplex. Nagata then nails Kitamura with a penalty kick for a near fall, Kitamura escapes a suplex to get into a striking exchange with Nagata. Nagata drops Kitamura with a spinning heel kick to the head, Nagata then hits Kitamura with a high angle suplex for the three count.

Winner: Yuji Nagata

Roppongi 3K (Sho & Yoh) vs. Suzuki-Gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desparado)

The match begins with Suzuki-Gun jumping their opponents just as the bell sounds, Sho fights back and he nails Kanemaru with a spear. Yoh hits the ring and he drops Desparado with a hurricarana, Sho then hits a dazed Desparado with a clothesline. Kanemaru drags Sho out of the ring and Desparado battles Yoh as well, Kanemaru throws Sho into the barricade a few times. Kanemaru then hits Sho with a suplex on the arena floor, Desparado throws Yoh into the barricade as well. Desparado gets a near fall on Sho as he got back into the ring, Desparado and Kanemaru then hit Sho with a double back body drop for a near fall.

Kanemaru applies the camel clutch to a downed Sho, Kanemaru then hits Sho with a slam before tagging Desparado into the match. Desparado and Kanemaru nail Sho with a hard Irish whip into the corner, Desparado follows that up with a snap suplex on Sho for a near fall. Desparado starts stomping away on the injured back of Sho, Desparado applies the reverse Gory Special to Sho. Sho gets free and Desparado attacks the injured back with some stomps, Sho recovers and he nails Desparado with a suplex. Yoh tags in and he cleans house on the opposing team, Yoh then nails a kicking Kanemaru with a dragon screw leg whip. Yoh then hits Desparado with a rope assisted enzaguri followed by a slingshot double stomp for a near fall, Yoh continues stomping away on a downed Desparado.

Desparado recovers and he nails a charging Yoh with a spine buster, Kanemaru tags in and Yoh nails him with a drop kick. Sho tags in and he goes to work on Kanemaru, Kanemaru recovers and he eventually gets caught with a double knee strike from his opponents. Sho then hits Kanemaru with a delayed German suplex for a near fall, Sho’s back is too hurt to hit 3K and that allows Desparado to hit Yoh with a spear. Kanemaru attacks the injured back of Sho in the ring while Desparado battles Yoh outside of the ring, Kanemaru then hits Sho with a superplex for a near fall. Kanemaru applies the Boston crab and Kanemaru eventually releases it, Desparado attacks Sho with a chair and Kanemaru reapplies the Boston crab on Sho to force a tap out.

Winners: Suzuki-Gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desparado)

After the match, Suzuki-Gun continues attacking the injured back of Sho with chair shots.

Ryusuke Taguchi, Kushida, Michael Elgin & Togi Makabe vs. Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki, Takashi Iizuka, Taka Michinoku & Taichi)

The match begins with Suzuki-Gun being jumped by the opposing team before they even enter the ring, Makabe battles Suzuki in the ring as everybody else battles on the arena floor. Taguchi tags into the match and Suzuki continues his battle with Makabe on the arena floor, Taguchi attacks the remaining members of Suzuki-Gun. Kushida hits the ring to drop Michinoku with a hip toss followed by a drop kick, Iizuka attacks Taguchi with a chair and he eventually does the same to Elgin. Taichi drags Taguchi out of the ring while choking him with a cable wire, Suzuki and Makabe continue their battle into the crowd.

Taichi attacks Taguchi with the bell hammer on the inside of the ring, Taichi then drops Taguchi with a clothesline in the corner. Taguchi recovers and he nails Taichi with an enzaguri, Iizuka tags in and he goes to work on a downed Taguchi. Iizuka decides to just bite the toes of a kicking Taguchi, Taguchi misses a hip attack and Iizuka bites him in the behind. Taguchi lands the second hip attack to drop Iizuka, Elgin tags in and he clobbers Iizuka with multiple running clotheslines in the corner. Elgin then hits Michinoku and Taichi with a double suplex, Elgin then hits Iizuka with forearm strikes and a German suplex for a near fall. Elgin follows that up with some clothesline strikes against Iizuka, Iizuka recovers and he bites the head of Elgin.

Elgin attacks an interfering Taichi before biting the head of Iizuka, Elgin then hits Iizuka with an iverted atomic drop. Makabe and Suzuki tag in before going right after each other, Makabe mounts Suzuki in the corner before assaulting him with punches. Makabe then hits Suzuki with a running clothesline followed by a slam, Makabe goes to the ropes and Suzuki attacks him with forearm strikes. Suzuki goes for the penalty kick and Makabe blocks it before getting into a striking exchange with him, Suuzki locks Makabe in the rear naked choke as Michinoku tags in. Suzuki-Gun hit the ring and then quadruple team a weakened Makabe, Iizuka then chokes Makabe with a piece of rope.

A brawl then breaks out all over the place between both teams, Makabe crushes Michinoku with a lariat followed by a King Kong Knee Drop for a three count.

Winners: Ryusuke Taguchi, Kushida, Michael Elgin & Togi Makabe

After the match, Togi Makabe challenges Minoru Suzuki to an IWGP Intercontinental Title Match and Suzuki accepts. 

Toa Henare, David Finlay & Juice Robinson vs. Chaos (Jay White, Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii)

The match begins with Yano instantly trying to play his tricks on Robinson, Robinson quickly catches Yano in an airplane spin. Yano loses control of the turnbuckle pad before he gets dropped, Ishii hits the ring to attack Robinson and Henare goes right after him. Ishii and Henare have a striking exchange until Ishii goes down, White hits the ring and Finlay nails him with a leaping European uppercut. Robinson then pops Yano with a plethora of his patented jabs, Yano recovers to send a charging Robinson into the exposed turnbuckle and out of the ring. Ishii tags in and he nails Robinson with a suplex, Ishii traps Robinson in the corner while assaulting him with chops.

Robinson fights back and he gets into a striking exchange with Ishii, Robinson eventually drops Ishii with a flying clothesline. White tags in and he attacks a downed Robinson, Robinson then drops a charging White on the exposed turnbuckle. Finlay tags in and he attacks White with a plethora of strikes, Finlay then catches White with a drop kick. Finaly corners White before landing some running European uppercuts, White recovers to drop Finlay with a belly to back suplex. Finlay recovers and he drops White with a uranage back breaker, Henare tags in and he nails White with a spine buster for a near fall. Robinson hits the ring to hit an interfering Ishii and Yano with a double neck breaker, White then gets triple teamed by the opposition.

Henare goes to the top rope and he nails White with a flying shoulder tackle for a near fall, Henare then hits White with a headbutt. White recover and he clobbers Henare with a right followed by Blade Runner, White then assaults Henare with elbow strikes until he goes out cold and the referee calls for the bell.

Winners: Chaos (Jay White, Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii)

– A video plays and Rey Mysterio appears to challenge Jushin “Thunder” Liger at NJPW Strong Style Evolved in California this March.

Special Singles Match: Gedo vs. Bushi

The match begins with Bushi and Gedo battling on the entrance ramp, Gedo gets Bushi near ringside before throwing him into the barricade. Gedo brings Bushi into the ring before mauling him with strikes, Gedo then tries removing the mask from the face of Bushi. Bushi gets free and he rips away on the beard of Gedo, Bushi tries attacking Gedo with hedge clippers before ripping away at his beard. Bushi then hits Gedo with a DDT on the ring apron that causes both to stumble to the arena floor, Bushi then chokes Gedo with his shirt. Bushi then throws Gedo into the barricade, Bushi gets Gedo in the ring before applying the STF and Gedo eventually gets to the ropes.

Bushi decides to just stomp away on the back of a downed Gedo, Gedo recovers and he drops Bushi with a DDT. Gedo drops Bushi and he applies the cross face, Gedo again attempts to take the mask off of the face of Bushi. Gedo backs Bushi into the corner while landing a few strikes, Gedo ties the mask of Bushi to the ring ropes so he can attack him with more strikes. A young boy cuts the rope to free Bushi and Bushi nails Gedo with a missile drop kick, Gedo rolls out of the ring and Bushi catches him with a suicide dive. Bushi gets Gedo in the ring before landing a double knee strike followed by a neck breaker for a near fall, Bushi goes for MX and Gedo gets the referee in the way to avoid the move.

Bushi goes for the MX again and Gedo shoves him into the referee, Gedo nails Bushi with a low blow followed by a super kick for a near fall. Gedo goes for the Gedo Clutch and Bushi counters with a roll up followed by an enzaguri, Bushi traps Gedo in the ropes before landing a modified MX for a near fall. Bushi catches Gedo with MX for the three count.

Winner: Bushi

Special Singles Match: Yoshi-Hashi vs. Tetsuya Naito

The match begins with Yoshi-Hashi attacking Naito from behind during his ring entrance, Naito recovers to throw Yoshi-Hashi into the barricade. Naito then hits Yoshi-Hashi with a neck breaker on the ring apron followed by another in the ring for a near fall, Naito wrenches away on the head of a downed Yoshi-Hashi. Naito released the hold to stomp away on a downed Yoshi-Hashi, Yoshi-Hashi tries fighting back and he eventually nails Naito with a basement drop kick followed by a DDT. Yoshi-Hashi and Naito have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Yoshi-Hashi then hits Naito with a running chop followed by more strikes in the corner.

Yoshi-Hashi then traps Naito on the top rope before landing a drop kick, Naito recovers to nail Yoshi-Hashi with an inverted back breaker followed by a basement drop kick. Naito then hits Yoshi-Hashi with a rope assisted inverted back breaker for a near fall, Naito goes for a leg sweep from the ring apron and Yoshi-Hashi counters with a drop kick that knocks him to the arena floor. Yoshi-Hashi follows that up with a suicide dive onto Naito, Yoshi-Hashi then hits Naito with a neck breaker on the entrance ramp. Yoshi-Hashi gets Naito in the ring before landing a blockbuster for a near fall, Yoshi-Hashi applies the butterfly lock and Naito gets to the ropes.

Yoshi-Hashi continues attacking Naito by landing strikes to his back, Naito recover and he catches Yoshi-Hashi with a tornado DDT. Naito catches Yoshi-Hashi with a leg sweep followed by a sling shot drop kick, Naito follows up with a reverse DDT for a near fall. Naito sets up for Destino and he winds up catching Yoshi-Hashi with a flying forearm strike, Yoshi-Hashi blocks Destino to hit Naito with a running reverse DDT. Yoshi-Hashi and Naito have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Yoshi-Hashi gets Naito to a knee before nailing him with a side kick followed by a Western Lariat for a near fall. Yoshi-Hashi follows that up with a running tiger driver for a near fall, Yoshi-Hashi reapplies the Butterfly Lock to Naito.

Naito eventually gets to the ropes after a long struggle to break the hold, Yoshi-Hashi goes for Kharma and Naito counters with a release German suplex. Naito then hits Yoshi-Hashi with an enzaguri before getting him to the top rope, Naito hits Yoshi-Hashi with a top rope hurricarana followed by a rolling kick. Naito then hits Yoshi-Hashi with a dragon suplex, Yoshi-Hashi recovers and he cracks Naito with a mule kick. Naito recovers to hit Yoshi-Hashi with a pair of Destinos for the three count.

Winner: Tetsuya Naito

After the match, Taichi attacks Tetsuya Naito and drags him backstage. 

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Hiromu Takahashi

The match begins with Takahashi and Ospreay having a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Takahashi knocks Ospreay out of the ring with a hurricarana. Ospreay gets back in the ring and he knocks Takahashi out of the ring with a hurricarana, Ospreay misses his suicide dive attempt and Takahashi nails him with a German suplex on the arena floor. Ospreay recovers and he throws Takahashi into the barricade, Takahashi recovers and propels a charging Ospreay into the barricade. Takahashi then chokes Ospreay with his foot near the barricade, Takahashi then gets Ospreay up to throw him into the barricade again.

Takahashi gets Ospreay back into the ring before just choking him, Takahashi then attacks Ospreay with a few chops. Takahashi drops Ospreay with a rope assisted kick before landing a drop kick for a near fall, Takahashi then hits Ospreay with a back suplex for a near fall. Takahashi follows that up by applying a head scissors to Ospreay, Ospreay gets free and Takahashi attacks him with strikes to the back. Ospreay recovers and he catches Takahashi with a handspring enzaguri, Ospreay backs Takahashi into the corner before landing a few enzaguris. Takahashi traps Ospreay on the ring apron before attempting a suet flip bomb, Ospreay then hits Takahashi with a Phenomenal Forearm from the barricade.

Ospreay gets Takahashi in the ring before landing another Phenomenal Forearm for a near fall, Ospreay catches Takahashi with another enzaguri. Ospreay downs Takahashi before landing a twisting moonsault to the back, Takahashi recovers by nailing Ospreay with a pop up power bomb. Ospreay recovers and Takahashi quickly drops him with a German suplex, Takahashi accidentally takes out the referee before nailing Ospreay with a sunset bomb on the arena floor. Takahashi then hits a dazed Ospreay with a top rope senton to the arena floor, Takahashi gets Ospreay into the ring for a near fall on a pin attempt. Ospreay escapes the Time Bomb from Takahashi and Takahashi levels him with a lariat, Takahashi gets Ospreay to the top rope and he follows him up there.

Ospreay then hits Takahashi with a German suplex from the top rope to the top turnbuckle below, Ospreay then hits Takahashi with a flip DDT followed by a inverted 450 splash for a near fall. Ospreay then hits Takahashi with the Robinson Special, Takahashi counters an Os Cutter with a flying neck breaker. Takahashi and Ospreay have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Ospreay gains the edge by assaulting Takahashi with forearm strikes. Takahashi gets angry and he attacks Ospreay with a series of chops in the corner, Ospreay nails Takahashi with a super kick in the corner followed by a super reverse hurricarana for a near fall. Ospreay then levels Takahashi with a series of kicks, Ospreay goes for a Time Bomb and Takahashi counters with a destroyer for a near fall.

Ospreay recovers to hit Takahashi with a super kick followed by a dragon suplex, Takahashi gets up to counter and Os Cutter with a German suplex. Ospreay gets up and catches a charging Takahashi with a one man spanish fly, Ospreay traps Takahashi on the top rope before landing a shooting star press. Ospreay then hits Takahashi with Say Goodnight for a near fall, Ospreay nails Takahashi with the Os Cutter for the three count.

Winner: Will Ospreay, still the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion

IWGP NEVER Openweight Title Match: Hirooki Goto (c) vs. Evil

The match begins with Evil kicking Goto before applying the headlock, Goto reverses to get a headlock on Evil. Goto releases the hold and he drops Evil with a shoulder tackle, Goto then kicks away at the back of Evil. Goto drops Evil with a back elbow strike for a near fall, Goto keeps things slow by applying a chin lock to Evil. Goto traps Evil in the corner before attacking him with some chops, Evil recovers and he crushes a charging Goto with a clothesline. Goto rolls out of the ring and Evil follows him out there, Evil then throws Goto into the barricade before finding some chairs.

Evil wraps a chair around the head of Goto before throwing him into the ring post, Evil eventually gets Goto in the ring before applying the chin lock. Evil releases the hold to nail Goto with a side slam for a near fall, Evil then drops Goto with a striking combination for another near fall. Goto fights back and he eventually drops Evil with a lariat, Goto then hits Evil with a Saito Suplex for a near fall. Evil uses a referee to shield him before nailing Goto with a side kick to the midsection, Evil follows that up by nailing Goto with a running clothesline followed by a bulldog. Evil gets Goto to the ring apron before dropping him to the arena floor with a clothesline, Goto recovers to nail Evil with a suplex onto a pile of chairs.

Goto gets Evil back in the ring before just stomping away on him, Goto then hits Evil with a running clothesline in the corner. Goto then mauls Evil with a series of kicks in the corner, Goto places Evil on the top rope and he follows him up there. Evil and Goto have a striking exchange before Goto eats a thumb to the eye, Evil shoves Goto off the ropes before attacking the referee. Evil then attacks Goto with a marge necklace that Goto brought to the ring, Evil also starts choking Goto with the oversized necklace. Goto recovers to catch Evil with a modified neck breaker from out of nowhere, Goto then hits Evil with a kick to the upper body. Evil recovers and he nails Goto with a fisherman buster suplex, Evil and Goto have another striking exchange in the middle of the ring.

Goto eventually finds a way to drop Evil after landing a clothesline, Evil recovers to drop Goto with a lariat of his own followed by Darkness Falls for a near fall. Goto blocks Everything Is Evil and Evil nails him with a clothesline followed by a German suplex for a near fall, Goto gets up and he crushes Evil with a headbutt. Goto then hits Evil with a rope assisted GTR for a near fall, Goto hits Evil with another GTR after a series of reversals for the three count.

Winner: Hirooki Goto, still the IWGP NEVER Openweight Champion

IWGP Heavyweight Title Match: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Sanada

The match begins with Sanada and Okada doing a little chain wrestling, Sanada catches Okada in a headlock. Okada gets free and he wrenches away on the arm of Sanada, Sanada also takes the chance to wrench away on the arm of Okada. Sanada gets to the ring apron and Okada pops him with a forearm strike, Okada also goes to the ring apron and Sanada shovs him into the ring post. Sanada then bulldogs Okada from the ring apron onto the barricade, Sanada waits for Okada to get back in the ring and Sanada throws him right back out of the ring. Sanada drags Okada to the entrance ramp before nailing him with a pile driver, Sanada waits for Okada to get back in the ring and he wrenches away on his head.

Okada gets free and Sanada nails him with a back elbow strike followed by a standing moonsault, Okada tries fighting back and Sanada drops him for a near fall. Sanada then hits Okada with another pile driver for a near fall, Sanada slows things down further by holding Okada in a chin lock. Okada gets free and he starts fighting back against Sanada, Okada then drops Sanada with a flapjack. Okada follows that up by nailing Sanada with a series of forearm strikes, Okada backs Sanada into the corner with some more strikes before landing a DDT. Okada goes to the top rope and Sanada throws him off those ropes, Sanada goes to the ring apron and Okada nails him with a drop kick that knocks him to the arena floor.

Okada goes out of the ring and he throws Sanada into the barricade, Okada then knocks Sanada over the barricade and into the commentary area. Okada follows that up with a barricade assisted DDT on the arena floor, Okada gets Sanada back in the ring before just stomping away on him. Sanada and Okada have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Okada ends the exchange before nailing Sanada with a swing around neck breaker. Okada follows that up with a top rope elbow drop on Sanada, Okada goes for the Rainmaker and Sanada counters with a Saito Suplex. Sanada then catches a charging Okada with a boot to the face, Sanada follows that up by knocking Okada out of the ring with a drop kick.

Sanada would then catch Okada with a dive that sends both crashing to the arena floor, Sanada then attacks Okada with a suicide dive. Sanada gets Okada in the ring before landing a springboard drop kick for a near fall, Okada catches Sanada with a roll up after a series of reversals. Sanada goes for the Skull End and Okada gets to the ropes, Sanada decides to just stomp away on Okada. Sanada and Okada have another striking exchange in the ring, Sanada then hits Okada with a TKO for a near fall. Okada goes for the cobra clutch and Sanada easily gets free, Sanada catches Okada in the Skull End and Okada gets to the ropes after a long struggle. Sanada then hits Okada with a back breaker before missing a moonsault attempt, Sanada recovers to hit Okada with a tiger suplex for a near fall.

Sanada places Okada on the top rope and he follows him up there, Sanada applies the Skull End to Okada while on the top rope. Sanada drives Okada off the ropes and he crashes head first before getting a near fall on him, Sanada goes for Skull End and he winds up hitting Okada with the Rainmaker for the near fall. Okada recovers to catch Sanada in the Skull End, Okada releases the hold to nail Sanada with a few drop kicks. Okada then hits Sanada with a tombstone pile driver, Okada goes for the Rainmaker and Sanada counters with Skull End. Sanada releases the hold and he nails Okada with a moonsault for the near fall, Sanada goes for another moonault and Okada gets his knees up.

Okada then hits Sanada with the Rainmaker, Okada gets Sanada up to nail him with another Rainmaker. Okada then hits Sanada with a German suplex followed by a tombstone pile driver, Okada then hits Sanada with another Rainmaker for the three count.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada, still the IWGP Heavyweight Champion
