NJPW Battle In The Valley Sells Out With Only KAIRI vs. Mercedes Mone Announced

New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that NJPW Battle In The Valley on February 18 has sold out. The event will be held at the San Jose Civic Center in San Jose, California. It is the first US event for NJPW in 2023.
The only match announced for the show is KAIRI defending her IWGP Women’s Championship against Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks). This will be Mone’s first match since May 2022 when she walked out of WWE.

Mone made her NJPW debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17, confronting KAIRI and laying her out after KAIRI successfully defending her IWGP Women’s Title against Tam Nakano. Mone made the challenge to KAIRI after the confrontation and the match was made official shortly after.
