NJPW Announces G1 Climax 33 Blocks And Tournament Cards
The blocks for this year’s G1 Climax are set.
During the June 10 New Japan Road show in Chiba, New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced the participants in each block for the G1 Climax 33 tournament.
The field will be divided into four blocks, with eight wrestlers in each block. The G1 Climax 33 is set to begin on July 15 in Hokkaido and conclude on August 13 in Ryogoku.

NJPW has also revealed the cards for each night of the tournament. This year, the top two participants from each block will advance to an elimination phase of quarter, semi, and finals matches, with “faster action encouraged” with only twenty minutes on the clock for block matchups.
