NJPW Announces Details Of AEW All-Atlantic Title Match Qualifiers
New Japan Pro-Wrestling has announced how they will determine their representative in the 4-Way Match to crown the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Recently, All Elite Wrestling revealed the creation of a brand new championship, the AEW All-Atlantic Championship. Created to celebrate the global reach of AEW, the inaugural title match is heavily built on having competitors that represent different countries. Currently, a single-elimination tournament is ongoing to determine the four men that will go on to compete in a 4-way at the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door card on Sunday, June 26.
Thus far, PAC has qualified for the match by defeating Buddy Matthews. This coming Wednesday, Miro and Ethan Page will face off on AEW Dynamite for the right to go onto the pay-per-view, and eventually, Penta Oscuro will face Malakai Black to determine the third competitor in the match.
The fourth competitor in the match will be a representative of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Now, the promotion has announced how its representative will be determined.
On the 4th night of the New Japan Road tour, Monday, June 20, Robbie Eagles will take on Tomoaki Honma and Tomohiro Ishii will do battle with Yoshinobu Kanemaru and the winners of those two matches will go on to compete the following night to determine who will represent New Japan at Forbidden Door.
