Nikkita Lyons had been out of action since January, as she underwent surgery for a torn ACL and torn meniscus. Lyons made her return to NXT on the December 5 episode, as she blindsided Blair Davenport and dropped her with a kick. Davenport was previously revealed as the mysterious attacker who took out Lyons and other members of the NXT women’s division.
During the December 11 episode of WWE Raw, a commercial advertised the December 12 episode of WWE NXT. It noted that the show would feature the fallout from NXT Deadline. Plus, it also announced that Nikkita Lyons would appear on the show. However, further details were not provided. It’s worth noting that Davenport won the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline.
