Nick Aldis competed in the main event of IMPACT Slammiversary, challenging Alex Shelley for the IMPACT World Title. Aldis would come up short in his efforts to dethrone Shelley for the belt.
Taking to social media on Tuesday, Aldis said it was an honor to be in the main event and that the future of the company is in good hands.

According to reports, Aldis finished up his run with IMPACT at the television tapings on July 16. Aldis returned to the company at IMPACT Rebellion in April after leaving the National Wrestling Alliance and becoming a free agent in January.
