Nia Jax Talks About Lana Establishing Herself As A Manager and Not A Wrestler
Nia Jax and Lana have not interacted much on WWE television. The two superstars have been on separate brands since the Superstar Shake-up last April. Prior to that, both ladies were on Raw, but never appeared on-screen together.
Despite rarely, if ever, crossing paths on television, the two are no strangers to each other backstage. Jax and Lana both appear on this season of Total Divas and, like everyone on the show, have had their share of drama.
Appearing on the Chasing Glory with Lillian Garcia podcast, Jax dished on her real life drama with Lana.
“Sometimes people mistake crazy for passionate,” said Jax. “(Lana) is on the borderline. She’s somebody who, if she gets backed into a corner, or feels any kind of insecurity, she likes to spout off. She likes to just spit at you. And me, I don’t like being disrespected. If you listen to what I’m saying, I’m trying to support her and help her.”
Jax went on to reiterate that she doesn’t believe Lana needs to wrestle because she’s already established herself as a manager.
“(Lana) is establishing herself in a whole different aspect than (wrestling). To me, ‘you’re already so different. Why are you trying to be like one of us?’”
When asked if she thinks Lana should give up on wrestling, Jax said, “not if it’s her dream.”
Despite the two getting into a war of words in the weight room, all ended well.
