Nia Jax Is Not In Favor Of Women’s Tag Team Titles
If it were up to Nia Jax, Women’s Tag Team Titles would be coming later rather than sooner.
Speaking to Josh Lawless at SPORTBible, Jax discussed the long-rumored Women’s Tag Team Titles and how she’s in no rush to see them come to fruition.
“You know what, I’m probably going to get some crap for it but I’m not (in favor of them),” said Jax. “I don’t think it’s needed anytime soon personally. Obviously if I were to be put in the tag division I would want Tamina Snuka to be on my side – I just feel like we’d be unstoppable. But I’m not someone that thinks it’s needed yet.”
Jax aligned herself with Tamina this past Monday on Raw. After defeating Ember Moon, Tamina showed up to rub salt in the wound. Instead of saving her friend from the beatdown, Jax joined in on the action and put the boots to Moon as well. Jax and Tamina stood together to end the segment, signifying a partnership between two of the top female superstars on the Raw roster.
Jax is the first person to turn down the inclusion of Women’s Tag Team Titles. Sasha Banks has openly campaigned for the belts while Naomi stated that she is excited for them to finally arrive.
