Nia Jax Describes What It Meant To Her To Become RAW Women’s Champion, And Talks Having Better Matches With Alexa Bliss

Nia Jax reflects on her moment at WrestleMania.

At WrestleMania 34 after weeks of built-up tension between the two competitors Nia Jax & Alexa Bliss met in the squared circle. At the end of the contest Nia Jax hit a "Samoan-Drop" from the middle rope and in-doing so won her first piece of championship gold in WWE. While speaking with Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, Nia spoke on what it meant to her to have that moment in New Orleans in front of thousands of people including her family and friends.

“It means everything. Like, the highlight of my life so far, probably the best moment of my life being able to win that in front of all the people; from my family sitting there, I mean, it was just amazing.” She continued. “And it represents so much more than just me winning the Worlds Women’s Championship. It represents the fact that I was able to stand up to my bully and showing the world that I’m not what everybody considers perfect; the perfect look or the perfect woman. But I’m perfect in my own way and I want young people and people everywhere just to realize their own beauty and their own perfectness inside of them. So, its more than just winning the title."

Tomorrow night, Nia will have her first title defense at 'Backlash' as she and "Little Miss Bliss" will renew their rivalry once again. The match that the two had at WrestleMania 34 was criticized by the public and the current RAW Women's Champion went over what it will take for herself and Alexa to take their performance this go-around to the next level.

"You know, every match we try to step it up more and more no matter what. WrestleMania was an all-time high for us. So they next time, we’re going to have to hit back and really come up with something special because every time we step in the ring we want to entertain the fans; like want it to be special. We’re gonna work our magic and make it really good." Nia stated.
