Nexus Members Reflect On The 10-Year Anniversary Of Their Debut
It’s been 10 years since Wade Barrett and the Nexus invaded Monday Night Raw and completely dismantled everything and everybody. Now, some of the members are reflecting on what was and what could have been.
Wade Barrett, aka NWA commentator Stu Bennett, was the leader of the rebellious pack. He would take to Twitter to thank the other members of the original Nexus for taking the journey with him and allude to revisionist history that has overtaken the legacy of the group in the time since their disbanding.
10 years ago today: June 7th 2010.
Thank you to the other seven men who helped make it happen.
History will be written by the victors, but those who were there to witness it are forever immune to their revision.

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Darren Young also commented on the 10-year anniversary of the group’s formation, revealing that the members are all still in a group chat today.

Ryback, who debuted in the group as Skip Sheffield, would also tweet, calling the original Nexus members “fantastic guys.”

Many other members, such as Justin Gabriel (PJ Black) and Heath Slater, took to retweeting fan clips and memories. Heath was actually the last of the villainous seven to get released by WWE. He was just let go on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
The group also featured the Monday Night Raw debut of Daniel Bryan. The original Nexus was set to be an eight-man group, but Daniel Bryan would be fired for a brief length of time because he choked out the current AEW ring announcer, Justin Roberts, with his tie. Justin Roberts alluded to this moment on Twitter himself today.
