New ROH Pure Champion Crowned At ROH Death Before Dishonor
Jonathan Gresham has been dethroned.
Josh Woods captured the ROH Pure Championship at ROH Death Before Dishonor, defeating Jonathan Gresham in a Pure Rules match.
The finish saw Woods counter a kimura with a wheelbarrow suplex out of a tombstone for the victory.
The match was restarted at the request of Gresham following a double pinfall. Gresham retained the title as a result of the draw, but wanted there to be a definitive winner.
After the bout, Gresham adhered to the Code of Honor by strapping the belt around the waist of Woods.
