New NXT Cruiserweight Champion Crowned On 9/21 NXT 2.0
Kushida has been dethroned.
On Tuesday’s NXT, Roderick Strong captured the NXT Cruiserweight Title, defeating Kushida with a little help from Diamond Mine.
Kushida had the hoverboard lock on Strong, but Malcolm Bivens put Strong’s foot on the rope. The rest of Diamond Mine would get involved, attacking Kushida on the outside. Back inside the ring, Strong put Kushida away with the lumbar check.

After the match, Grayson Waller came out to confront Strong and challenge him to a title match next Tuesday.
Bivens accepted the challenge after consulting with Strong.

This marks Strong’s first reign with the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
