New Number One Contender Named For NXT UK Women’s Championship

Meiko Satomura is going to get another shot against Kay Lee Ray for the NXT UK Women’s Championship.

After a grueling Gauntlet match, a twist of fate allowed Meiko Satomura to get another chance to become WWE NXT UK Women’s Champion.

Last week, Amale took out Xia Brookside rendering her status for this week’s matchup in question. Because she was not able to compete, Meiko Satomura was able to take the place of Brookside and ultimately defeat Jinny to punch her ticket to a second matchup against Kay Lee Ray who has held the championship for over 600 days.

Meiko had an initial opportunity at the championship when she first arrived on the brand but was ultimately unsuccessful. No date has been set for the match at this time and Fightful will report any and all updates as they’re made available.
