New NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions Crowned At NJPW New Beginning In Osaka
Minoru Suzuki has formed a new group and captured gold once again.
At NJPW New Beginning in Osaka, House of Torture’s EVIL, SHO and Yujiro Takahashi were mandated to defend their NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships; otherwise, they would have been stripped of the belts by New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado, and Ren Narita were then able to defeat the champions and capture the titles. Ultimately, all three Challengers had submission moves on the Champions, and Takahashi was forced to surrender, surrendering the belts in the process.
After the match, Suzuki declared that their new trio would be known as Strong Style. Suzuki’s previous group, Suzuki-Gun had previously disbanded, allowing all of the other members to forge their own paths. Suzuki and Desperado’s new paths see them holding gold alongside Ren Narita.
