New Intercontinental Champion Crowned At WWE Extreme Rules
The Miz is now a seven-time Intercontinental Champion.
Working his way to becoming one of the best Intercontinental Champions in WWE history, The Miz defeated Dean Ambrose to capture the title. The stipulation in the WWE Extreme Rules match in Baltimore mandated that Ambrose would lose the title if he were to get disqualified.

Miz hits a series of kicks before Dean puts Miz in a figure four, but he gets to the ropes right before he taps., then Dean counters the Skull Crushing Finale with a sunset flip for a near fall. Dean drops Miz with a clothesline before Miz has Maryse slap him, but the referee sends her to the back before Dean rolls him up for a near fall. The referee argues with Dean after Miz pushes him into him and is about to disqualify Dean before Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the pin and the win.

The Miz is among the most decorated wrestlers in WWE history, as he's also a former WWE, United States, WWE Tag and World Tag Team Champion. He's also won the Money in the Bank ladder match, and two Slammy awards. In all, he has fourteen separate championship reigns (excluding holding WWE and World tag titles simultaneously).
