Nate Diaz Had Offer To Fight Logan Paul, Diaz Says ‘WWE Wanted To Take Over The Whole Thing’
Nate Diaz will box Jake Paul on August 5 in Dallas, Texas, but Diaz had an offer to face Logan Paul as well.
According to President of Real Fight Inc., Zach Rosenfield (via ESPN), Diaz had a “very interesting and attractive offer” to fight Logan Paul.
It was WWE’s involvement that turned Diaz off to fighting Logan.
“The WWE came in and then they wanted to take over the whole thing,” Diaz said. “And I’m like, ‘I just got out of the UFC, why am I going to sign with WWE?’ I fight for real. I’m not gonna be doing a real fight on a WWE card or no funny s— like that.”
Logan commented, “You can still be a real fighter with the biggest sports organization in the world promoting your fight. It’s a little lame to me, and I can definitely sell more tickets. I see what he’s doing. I’m the harder fight. I’m the bigger brother, I’m the stronger brother, I’m the faster brother.”
Logan will be in action on August 5 as he takes on Ricochet at WWE SummerSlam in Detroit, Michigan.
Logan previously revealed that he requested his match go on first so he could fly to Texas to watch his brother Jake fight Diaz.
