Natalya Says She Wanted Jim Neidhart To Be In Hall Of Fame With Bret Hart, Turned Down Solo Offer
In 2019, The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart) were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
With Neidhart’s passing in 2018, his daughter Natalya inducted him into the Hall of Fame alongside Bret.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Natalya commented on Jim’s induction and revealed she wanted him inducted with Bret.
“He helped my dad so much. Bret always says, ‘Jim helped me come out of my shell. Jim helped me find my personality.’ When my dad and Bret were going into the Hall of Fame, it’s funny because I was very adamant…at one point, I was basically presented with the idea of my dad going in by himself. I said, ‘I want my dad to go in…I want my dad and Bret together as the Hart Foundation.’ That was my dad’s favorite time in his career. That’s when he had the most fun, that’s when he was the most alive. That’s when he did his best work. Bret just looked out for him so much and they were so close and such a well-oiled machine. As much, in that moment, that Vince [Vince McMahon] was like, ‘We can put your dad in by himself.’ I was like, I want my dad and Bret together. I want them together because my dad would have wanted that. That was really cool, to be able to do that for my dad. I know he would have been so excited to be part of the Hall of Fame,” she said.
Bret and Jim were two-time WWE Tag Team Champions.
Natalya is likely headed to the WWE Hall of Fame when her in-ring career is over. In 2021, she mentioned the possibility of Billy Corgan inducting her into the Hall of Fame. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
