Naomi Yoshimura Suffers Cervical Sprain At DDT’s ‘D-Ou Grand Prix 2019 The Final’ Show
A recap and an update on the situation.
It was at DDT Pro Wrestling’s ‘D-Ou Grand Prix 2019 The Final’ show at Korakuen Hall on December 30th that a frightening sequence of events occurred. Naomi Yoshimura teamed with Sammy Guevara to take on Puma King and Daisuke Sasaki. During the match Yoshimura took a “Pedigree” from Sasaki but Yoshimura landed forehead first. The nearby medical staff immediately rushed to the ring and Sasaki who delivered the maneuver had to think fast and cut a promo about what he did to take the crowd’s attention off of Yoshimura.
@STRIGGA on Twitter translated DDT’s update on Yoshimura:
Naomi Yoshimura was diagnosed with a cervical sprain following a examination in a hospital in Tokyo after today’s Korakuen Hall event. The doctor sent Yoshimura home, but told him he has to be hospitalized if the pain won’t go away. So it *seems* to be less severe than feared
Yoshimura took to Twitter and alerted the fans of the cervical sprain injury and added that he was angry at himself for what happened but he hopes to be healed up soon.
Yoshimura:
Sorry to keep you guys worried.
I’m angry at myself, but lucky for me it was only a cervical spine sprain.
I look bad in this pic but I’m good for now;
I’ll be healed up in no time, so don’t worry and wait for me!#ddtpro https://t.co/IjWwhEyNaq— DDT English Update (@ddtpro_eng) December 30, 2018
