Naomi Had To ‘Take A Break And Stand On Business’ Before Inevitable WWE Return

For Naomi, her WWE return was never in doubt, but she knew she had something she wanted to accomplish before going back to the promotion she called home.

Naomi returned to WWE at the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble after a successful stint in TNA Wrestling. After spending over a decade in WWE, she departed the company alongside Sasha Banks in May 2022.

During a conversation on The Ringer Wrestling Show ahead of WWE WrestleMania XL, Naomi stated that she always knew she’d come back when the opportunity presented itself but before then, she wanted to accomplish some things and prove that she could stand on business.

“I knew I would, I didn’t know when, I didn’t know how, I didn’t know where but I didn’t like ending my journey here in the way that it happened. So I know for me and myself, it could be made right and the time is right and the opportunity presented itself, I would come back to finish my career in the light that I should and the company that I love so much that made me the star I am. So it was never about, ‘Oh that’s it, I’m not coming back’. It was a lot going on and I just had to take a break, step away, figure out things, get some things done and stand on business.”

Naomi returns to WrestleMania at WWE WrestleMania XL where she will team alongside Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair against Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL. Check out what she has to say about that upcoming experience here
