The two teams have been feuding for a number of weeks. Finn Balor and Damian Priest have repeatedly tried to recruit Dominik Mysterio, but the young star has refused to betray his father. On the July 25 edition of WWE Raw, Rey Mysterio celebrated his 20th anniversary with WWE, and The Judgment Day what ruined what was meant to be a joyful night.

Rey and Dominik came to the ring on Monday night, and the veteran looked back on his remarkable WWE career. He named the friends and allies who have helped him along the way, including Eddie Guerrero, Konnan, Dean Malenko, Edge, and Batista. Rey also thanked the fans for their support. After the emotional message, Rey and Dominik faced Priest and Balor in a scheduled tag team match.

Despite The Judgment Day’s best efforts, The Mysterios emerged victorious, but Priest and Balor got the last laugh. Later in the show, Rey celebrated his triumph backstage, where the returning Rhea Ripley attacked him. Ripley, Balor and Priest proceeded to beat Rey up leave him lying after a powerbomb through a table.

WWE subsequently announced that The Mysterios will face The Judgment Day in a No Disqualification Match at WWE SummerSlam on July 30.
