MVP Says Creating A New Hurt Business Is Akin To Creating New Beatles
MVP says there will only ever be one iteration of The Hurt Business.
When MVP joined Bobby Lashley, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin, The Hurt Business briefly took over Monday Night Raw during the latter stages of the ThunderDome era shows.
However, shortly after their dominance took hold, the group disbanded. They would briefly be joined together again before immediately disbanding in favor of Bobby Lashley standing to all on his own.
When asked by Ryan Satin on the Out Of Character podcast if he would ever consider adding new members to the group, MVP stated that trying to recreate what the original four created would be like trying to recreate The Beatles.
“I don’t know that I would do that. That day. No, that would be like saying, ‘Hey, let’s start a new version of The Beatles and get two new members. Okay. The Hurt Business is was what it was. If I was to start a new faction, it would be just that a new faction with a new name and a new direction. I think The Hurt Business was a moment in time that I wouldn’t want to attempt to recreate because, I mean, let’s just face it. How often is a remake as good as the original? Rarely.”
MVP did recently state that he thought about adding Bianca Belair to the group at one point in time. Learn more here.
