Following MVP’s AEW debut at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, he made an announcement on the October 2nd episode of AEW Dynamite, as he introduced Shelton Benjamin as his business partner. Benjamin’s appearance marked his AEW debut.
In a post on Instagram, MVP shared a clip in which the duo could be seen leaving the arena together. He then said that business had just picked up. MVP and Shelton Benjamin bumped fists, and MVP laughed as they walked away.
Benjamin previously had a memorable run alongside MVP in The Hurt Business during their days in WWE. The group also included Bobby Lashley and Cedric Alexander. WWE re-signed Alexander, per Fightful Select, but Lashley and MVP left the company in the summer of 2024. In September, MVP said that he was talking to Lashley and Benjamin about what they wanted to do.
Fightful Select reported an update about Shelton Benjamin, MVP, and Bobby Lashley following Benjamin’s AEW debut.
