On the May 30 episode, Ali appeared and joined the commentary team for NXT North American Champion Wes Lee’s match. He then made the save when Joe Gacy attacked Lee and Tyler Bate after the duo defeated The Dyad (Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler.)
WWE announced that Ali will face Gacy in a singles match on the June 6 episode of NXT.

NXT also announced that Blair Davenport will compete on the show, as she will face Dani Palmer. Davenport revealed herself as the mystery attacker on the May 30 episode. Her match with Palmer will mark her first time competing on NXT programming since NXT Worlds Collide in September 2022.
