Mustafa Ali Takes Aim At Returning Legends After The 2021 Royal Rumble
Mustafa Ali is not happy about the presence of legends at the WWE Royal Rumble.
Every year, the WWE Royal Rumble event promises a host of returning superstars. Sometimes those Superstars are returning for one night only like Rob Van Dam in 2009 and sometimes, those legends return for one last run, such as Edge and MVP last year.
This year, both Royal Rumble matches saw the return of many legends including Victoria and Jillian Hall in the women’s match, and in the men’s match, Christian returned for the first time in seven years.
While many were happy to see these familiar faces return, Mustafa Ali took umbrage with legends returning to take spots away from full-time Superstars. Ali would voice his frustrations on Twitter, calling the returning names “senior citizens.”
I’d like to be the first to welcome back all the senior citizens that will surely take away opportunities from hungry, hardworking individuals on this glorious road to #WrestleMania
