Mustafa Ali To Start Campaign To Earn NXT North American Title Shot

Mustafa Ali is going to start a grassroots campaign to get himself a shot at the NXT North American Championship. 

Ali believes he was robbed of his one-on-one NXT North American Title opportunity when Dominik Mysterio captured the title. He would get an opportunity in a Triple Threat Match at NXT Great American Bash, but he came up short. 

After defeating Axiom in a singles match on August 8, Ali declared to the camera that he would be going after whoever wins the NXT North American Championship match between Dragon Lee and Dominik Mysterio later that night, and beginning on August 15, he will be starting a campaign to make himself the next in line for the title. 

“Whoever is the winner of tonight’s North American Championship Match, I want you to know, that I’m next in line.”
