Randy Orton Fell To The Floor Laughing At WWE Royal Rumble Error With Shane McMahon; More On Shane

Fightful has learned more about some of the issues surrounding Shane McMahon and the Royal Rumble, that led to him being on the outs with WWE.

Fightful spoke with several people close to the WWE Royal Rumble match who uncovered some of the logic behind Shane McMahon’s pitches, or lack thereof. Several sources have indicated that Shane McMahon specifically wanted to go on in a spot that would highlight him, with one even mentioning that he pitched the number one spot. However, we’re told that Vince McMahon personally came along and said that he’d be making changes to the match and wouldn’t be doing much of what Shane laid out.

We’re told that when Vince McMahon learned of Shane McMahon’s plans, he wasn’t happy about them, and neither was Brock Lesnar. Shane was insistent on seeing them through, which didn’t end up happening.

We’re told of one particularly humorous situation, as Shane McMahon was actually supposed to be number 29, and Orton number 28, which got reversed. Those near the situation say and heard Shane McMahon reacted hastily, and Orton pretty well informed him via a verbal cue that he would in fact NOT be entering to Shane McMahon’s theme, so Shane probably needed to go out when his number was called. We were later told that verbal cue was Orton literally falling to the floor laughing hysterically at the error.
