Monster’s Ball Returns As Abyss Faces Eli Drake At IMPACT Wrestling Homecoming, Updated Card
Abyss will return to the ring at IMPACT Wrestling Homecoming when he meets Eli Drake in a Monster’s Ball match.
Drake and Abyss have been feuding ever since Bound For Glory in October when Drake issued an open challenge in New York. The challenge was originally answered by James Ellsworth, who was quickly dispatched of by Drake. Not satisfied, Drake wanted a Hall of Fame caliber opponent. The recently inducted Hall of Famer Abyss obliged, standing tall after smashing Drake through a table.
Following the event, Drake sued IMPACT management for an “unsafe work environment” leading to Abyss’ alter-ego, Joseph Park getting involved as his lawyer. Drake would dispose of Park in the following weeks. Last week on IMPACT, Drake showed that he could get hardcore by defeating ECW icon Tommy Dreamer. As the show went off the air, Drake found balloons and a card, congratulating him on his victory.
On the most recent edition of IMPACT, Drake revealed that the card was from Abyss, who challenged him to a Monster’s Ball bout at Homecoming. The bout was made official later in the night.
