MLW Fusion Episode 49 Results MLW World Tag Team Championship Match Hart Foundation vs The Dynasty
The MLW World Tag Team Championship is on the line, Contra Unit make their in-ring debut and more on this week’s episode of MLW Fusion!
-We open the show with a video package for Contra Unit.
El Hijo de La Park vs Puma King
Mance Warner joins on commentary for the match before they take each other down and flip to start the match before Puma jilts Hijo on a handshake and sends hkn out of the ring before hitting a diving cross body to the outside. Back in the ring Salina distracts Puma before Puma goes out after her and Hijo hits a suicide dive and rolls Puma back into the ring. Hijo puts a chair between the legs of Puma and hits it with another chair before he tosses him out of the ring and Puma comes back with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker before setting chairs up at ringside. Puma hits a chair between the legs of Hijo and Hijo hits a code red for a near fall before Puma hits a powerbomb and goes up top, but Hijo hits him with a chair. The referee keeps the match going and Hijo dances before hitting a Spanish fly for a near fall before Salina trips Puma and Hijo hits a reverse piledriver.
Hijo and Mance then argue at ringside before Puma hits an MX and rolls Hijo up for the pin and the win.
Winner: Puma King defeats El Hijo de La Park via pinfall with an MX.
Contra Unit (Jacob Fatu & Josef Samael) vs Local Talent
Contra Take out the first guy before the other guy comes in and Jacob hits a Samoan drop before Josef spikes him for the disqualification.
Winner: Two local performers defeat Contra Unit via disqualification when Samael attacks one of them with a railroad spike.
-After the match Jacob hits several moonsaults before Josef sets one of them on fire. Josef then pours water on the crowd before everyone starts throwing things into the ring.
MLW World Tag Team Championship Match
The Hart Foundation (Teddy Hart & Davey Boy Smith Jr.)(c) w/Brian Pillman Jr. vs The Dynasty (MJF & Richard Holliday)
MJF gets out of the ring when Teddy rushes him before Richard gets in the ring and Teddy knocks MJF off of the apron before hitting Richard with right hands and uppercuts. Teddy hits a code fed before Davey hits a butterfly suplex for a quick two count and rocks him with forearms before hitting a delayed suplex for a two count. Davey hits a scoop slam before Teddy hits an Asai moonsault and MJF gets a blind tag before MJF attacks him from behind. MJF focuses on the tapped ribs of Teddy and throws water at Davey before MJF and Richard doubles up on Teddy who rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. The Hart Foundation take out MJF at ringside before MJF whips Teddy into the railing and Richard rolls him back into the ring.
Richard locks in a sharpshooter before Davey hits him and MJF hits a heat seeking piledriver for a near fall before Teddy comes back with a Canadian destroyer. Teddy tags in Davey who boots Richard off of the apron and takes out both members of The Dynasty with German suplexes before Davey hits a full nelson bridging suplex for a near nearfall.
Davey then hits a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall before Alex Hammerstone attacks Davey with a chair for the disqualification.
Winner: The Hart Foundation retain their MLW World Tag Team Championship via disqualification when Alex Hammerstone attacks them.
-After the match we see that Alex has joined The Dynasty as we go off the air.
