MLW Confirms Two-Hour ‘Battle Riot’ Live Special For April 5
Battle Riot returns to MLW over WrestleMania weekend.
MLW officials announced their next live event will be a two-hour special on beIN Sports on Apr. 5. The show will air at 8 p.m. ET. MLW sent out the following press release on the news:

NEW YORK – Riot with Major League Wrestling on Friday night April 5th as MLW presents the 2019 Battle Riot as a 2-hour network special on beIN SPORTS live from New York City’s Melrose Ballroom. (buy tickets)
The live broadcast will feature the 40-wrestler Battle Riot plus more matches.
“The sport reaches its annual peak the weekend of April 5th and what better way to give the fans something big than to give it away for free as a 2 hour special featuring the Battle Riot?,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer.
What is the Battle Riot?
A mash-up of a battle royal, royal rumble and anything goes street fight, this super-sized main event will feature 40 wrestlers with new participants entering the ring every 60 seconds.There will be surprises!
There will be legends!
There will be WTF entries!
And there will be no disqualifications!
Elimination is by pinfall, submission or by throwing an individual over the top rope.
Anything is possible April 5th in a Battle Riot!
What does the winner get?

MLW’s Apr. 5 event will mark the return of their Battle Riot match, a 40-man no disqualification Royal Rumble type match with a new competitor entering every 60 seconds. Eliminations can occur via pinfall, submission, or by throwing your opponent over the top rope. The winner of Battle Riot receives an instant MLW World Title shot at a time of their choosing.
The first Battle Riot event was televised on July 27, 2018 and won by Tom Lawlor. Lawlor would go on to win the MLW World Title on February 2, 2019 at MLW Superfight. He will defend the title in a rematch against Low Ki this Saturday at MLW Intimidation Games.
Along with Battle Riot II on Apr. 5 at the Melrose Ballroom, MLW will hold a Rise of the Renegades television taping at the same venue the night before.
