MJF delivered a passionate message after the November 16 episode of AEW Dynamite went off the air.
At AEW Full Gear, MJF will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. The go-home show in Wednesday ended with MJF and Moxley previewing the match. “The Salt of the Earth” declared that he needs the title more than he needs air, and he intends to take home the gold on Saturday.
After AEW Dynamite went off the air, MJF delivered a passionate message while AEW President Tony Khan was in the ring. He began by stating that AEW has dealt with a lot in recent months. He noted that he and Khan have been at odds at times, but he highlighted the way the AEW President works hard to give everyone an alternative.
“I’d like to get real real quick with all y’all, real quick. Just give me a second. No bullshit. Everybody listen to me real quick. A lot of bullshit has gone on, a lot of bullshit. We all know it. However, let me make something crystal clear. Me and [Tony], we’ve been at odds once or twice. I’m not gonna stand here and pretend that’s not the case. But there’s something I take issue with that I’ve been seeing lately. Everybody make some noise if you’re a fan of professional wrestling. Now, you guys think you’re wrestling fans. Imagine for one second, if you had the opportunity to bring your love of professional wrestling out to the world and create an alternative. Would you do it? This man right here busts his ass, week in, week out to give not just you, but to give all the boys in the back an opportunity to show the world how much we love professional wrestling,” MJF said.
He continued by stating that wrestlers risk their lives every time they’re in the ring. He stated that he didn’t take it lightly when someone came into the company and “took a dump”, but he emphasized that the problem is over. He credited Khan for creating an alternative, and he emphasized that while he loves WWE, wrestlers wouldn’t get paid properly if there wasn’t a true alternative.
“This shit is not ballet. Every time we get in this ring, we are risking our lives. You people understand that? We don’t take that lightly. What I damn sure don’t take lightly is somebody coming in to my company, dropping trou and taking a dump. That shit ain’t happening anymore because this is the place. The only reason why it’s here is because of Tony fucking Khan. Without AEW, professional wrestling is a monopoly. Do not get me wrong, I love WWE, trust me, I love WWE. However, hear me out, your favorite wrestlers don’t get properly and don’t eat properly unless Tony Khan makes that alternative,” MJF said.

He concluded his message by saying that he’s carrying the company, and he encouraged Khan to pay him when his contract is up. He then told everyone to buy AEW Full Gear so they can witness history when he wins the title.
“Now I’m going to finish it with more honesty. Tony, I’m just gonna keep it real with you. I’m carrying this goddamn place on my back. If I were you, I would pay up in the bidding war of 2024. Connecticut, you crazy motherfuckers better buy this pay-per-view to witness history because MJF is taking home the gold,” he said.
