MJF To Be Stripped Of MLW Middleweight Title If He’s Not Cleared By December 14

MLW sent Fightful.com the following update on the Middleweight Title

Major League Wrestling today announced a reconfigured World Middleweight Ladder Match for the Friday night December 14th Zero Hour card at the Miami Scottish Rite Temple. Both December 13 & 14th cards are FUSION TV tapings for beIN SPORTS.

If medically cleared day of show, MJF will defend the World Middleweight Championship in a 5-way ladder match against Kotto Brazil, Jason Cade and the debuting Dezmond Xavier and Andrew Everett.  If MJF is not cleared day of show, the belt will be declared vacant and decided that night in a ladder match featuring the 4 challengers.

This past weekend the reigning World Middleweight Champion MJF fractured his elbow putting the status in question. Since then, the league’s medical team has evaluated MJF and projects he will be day-to-day leading into MLW’s Miami double-shot December cards.  There is a possibility MJF will be cleared to wrestle but it will likely be a game day decision.

With MJF’s participation uncertain, the league has decided to move forward and will have the World Middleweight Championship decided via title defense or via vacancy declared day of show.  The ladder match remains intact and now features: Kotto Brazil, Jason Cade and 2 new entries in Andrew Everett and Dezmond Xavier.  MJF will compete if cleared making the ladder match a 5-way bout.  However if not, the title will be contested between the 4 challengers with a new champion crowned in Miami.
