The Miz Says He Wants To Break The Record For Most Days As WWE Intercontinental Champion

The Miz talks what remains on his pro wrestling bucket list.

The Miz reveals what remains on his pro wrestling bucket list.

The Miz has had an incredibly successful career when it comes to championships in WWE, achieving a double Grand Slam in his time with the promotion. However, he has held no championship as many times as the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which he has held a total of eight times for a cumulative time of 592 days.

This drops just shy of WWE Hall Of Famer Pedro Morales, who has held the championship for 617 days cumulatively over two reigns.

While speaking to TNT Sports’ Chamatkar Sandhu, The Miz was asked what remains on his pro wrestling bucket list. The A Lister simply replied that he would like to become the man to hold the Intercontinental Championship for the longest of anyone in WWE history.

“Break the record for most days of having the Intercontinental Championship and most reigns. Like I’m one reign away from being tied for being number one. I’m, I think, 25 days away from having the title the most out of anyone. I think Pedro Morales has me beat right now by like 25 days, so that would be, I mean, that would be a pretty cool feat. It’d be just another accolade to add to my already pretty stout career.” he said.

The Miz has the chance to capture the Intercontinental Championship for the ninth time later on tonight when he challenges Gunther at Survivor Series. Meanwhile, Gunther has held the Intercontinental Championship for over 530 days, and is nearing the record The Miz is set on breaking himself.

Elsewhere in the same interview, The Miz discussed impersonating LA Knight on an episode of RAW back in August. You can read more about it here.
