The Miz: A Lot Of People Go Into Vince McMahon’s Office To Complain, I’m Not That Guy
Since his main roster debut in 2006 following a stint on Tough Enough and a run in developmental, The Miz has been a staple of WWE television.
He’s filled multiple roles in the company, whether lifting up the tag team division, carrying the Intercontinental Championship, or holding the World Championship. Throughout the years, Miz has established a trusting relationship with Vince McMahon because he takes the direction Vince gives him and runs with it.
Speaking to Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions, Miz discussed his relationship with Vince and how the boss has always believed in him.
“Vince has always believed in me. Whenever I’ve had a conversation with him, he can tell that if he tells me something, I don’t just hear it. I listen to it, absorb it, and get exactly what he wants out of it and make sure that the big picture is in place. He can lean on me to do that. A lot of people go into Vince’s office and complain and say, ‘I need to do this and that.’ I’m not that guy. I say, ‘Vince needs this done. I can do that. Not only can I do it, I can make it even better than he wants it to be.’ That’s the trust I’ve developed with him and the company. The company knows this is my passion, life, and love. I love entertaining,” said Miz.
Vince put his faith into Miz once again at WWE Elimination Chamber, making the call to put the WWE Title on Miz.
Miz cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Drew McIntyre following the Raw Elimination Chamber bout, winning the WWE Title for a second time.
