The Miz: John Morrison Has Everything It Takes To Be A Main Event Player In WWE

John Morrison returned to WWE in January 2020 and was immediately re-aligned with The Miz.

The two famously teamed from 2007 to 2009 and found success as a duo, winning the WWE Tag Team Championships and World Tag Team Championships.

During their reunion, they have captured the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships, while Miz has found singles success by capturing the Money in the Bank briefcase and winning the WWE Title. As for Morrison’s run as a singles star, Miz believes his time is coming.

“He has so much to give. We keep talking about this, even as a tag team and best friends, we look at it and go, ‘How can we get there?’ Sometimes, it takes time and the right momentum. If you push it too far, it goes the opposite direction. It’s about timing and finding the right timing. Some people are like, ‘he’s only doing this and that.’ Let me tell you something, John Morrison will be in the main event scene. I guarantee it. He has the talent, mic skills, in-ring skills, the character, everything it takes to be a main event caliber player in the WWE. It’s just finding that wave and riding it. To be honest, he’s already there. It’s just waiting for the opportunity to arise where it’s like, ‘Oh, now we’re in it,'” Miz said on Out of Character with Ryan Satin

Miz and Morrison have remained a team following Miz’ brief run as WWE Champion, teaming together in a loss to Damian Priest and Bad Bunny at WrestleMania 37.
