The Miz Commenting On Facing Daniel Bryan: “If SummerSlam Is Where It’s At, It’s Where It’s At–If It Comes Sooner, Fine”
The Miz isn’t running from D.B.
The two former WWE Champions Daniel Bryan and The Miz have never minced words about not personally liking one another but having a respect between them. During an interview last month Daniel Bryan explained why he respects The Miz despite not personally liking him. The two men have had similar career paths in WWE in some ways with both having won the World Title, the WWE United States Title, the Intercontinental Championship and both men holding Tag Team gold.
At the ‘Extreme Rules’ PPV Daniel Bryan and Kane failed to capture the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships and the following Tuesday on SmackDown The Miz held a funeral for ‘Team Hell No’. This led to Daniel Bryan coming out and kick-starting a brawl with The Miz which intensified their feud that has been boiling for eight years.
The Miz recently spoke with TV Insider to promote the ‘Miz & Mrs.’ USA Network series that debuts this Tuesday and during the interview Miz went on to speak about his recent altercation with his rival Daniel Bryan.
“This has been four years in the making with Daniel allowed to wrestle again and then come over to SmackDown Live. Doesn’t talk or say anything since I’ve been there, so I basically have been egging him on. The fact is the guy has called me a coward, soft in the WWE ring. When someone does that and says something like that to you, I like to do things to your face.” Miz said. “It’s funny because everyone talks about the Talking Smack incident where Daniel called me soft style of wrestling and a coward. Then I got up in his face and told him exactly how I felt. What did Daniel Bryan do? Did he fight for his dream? Did he hit me? No, he walked away. Who was the coward there? Then I come to SmackDown Live, doesn’t talk. The only thing I’ve done is beat him in a gauntlet match. Then I gave him a eulogy. Then what does he do? He comes up from behind and beats me up. If SummerSlam is where it’s at, it’s where it’s at. If it comes sooner, fine.”
