Mina Shirawaka: Daniel Garcia Says His Dance Belongs To Me Now
Mina Shirakawa discusses “live event charisma” and being gifted Daniel Garcia’s dance by the man himself.
Mina Shirakawa has charisma in spades and she continues to display that charisma every time she is on TV in AEW and whenever she’s in a ring internationally. Now, she’s speaking about her charisma and doing Daniel Garcia’s trademark dance in Japan.
During a recent interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Shirakawa was asked about her familiarity with the term “live event charisma,” she responded, “In Japan, live show charisma, is not used often. I know charisma is a good word. So maybe I’m a good wrestler? [Laughs]. I feel like that.”
As for doing Daniel Garcia’s dance, Shirakawa reflected on being given permission by Garcia to take the dance and make it her own moving forward, and now, she feels like she can use it anytime.
“First, I danced in Japan in the STARDOM ring. At the time, I didn’t realize the dance was his. After dancing, I searched my name and many fans said I was doing his dance. At AEW, backstage, I asked him, ‘Did you see my dance? How did you feel?’ He said, ‘Keep going. This dance is yours.’ The dance belongs to me. I can use it anytime.”
Mina Shirakawa will be in action on NJPW Strong Style Evolved. She will take on Johnnie Robbie. The event can be watched on NJPW World and Triller.
