In the first-ever Stadium Stampede match, which was held at AEW Double or Nothing 2020, The Elite (“Hangman” Adam Page, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) and Matt Hardy defeated The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz, and Jake Hager). Among other highlights, Santana sent Omega into the depths of the stadium with an Irish whip.
Mike Santana took to Twitter to respond to a post that noted he was doing the Irish Whip animation from WWE’s No Mercy video game. He wrote that he did not think anyone would get it. Santana noted that it was done solely for his and Kenny’s entertainment.
I legit didn’t think anyone would get it. This was done solely for Kenny and I’s entertainment.

The Stadium Stampede match has since become one of AEW’s signature bouts, and they are often filled with chaotic action, just as the first one was. Most recently, at AEW All In, Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, and Trent Beretta defeated Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta), Mike Santana, and Ortiz.
