Mike Bennett Says Maria Kanellis Will Come Back To Wrestling On Her Own Terms
Mike Bennett says that when his wife Maria Kanellis comes back to wrestling, it will be on her terms.
Speaking to Nick Hausman on a recent episode of The Wrestling Inc. Daily, The Kingdom member talked about his return to ROH and if fans can expect Maria to, one day, also join the group. Here is what he had to say:
“Maria, I’ll never say no because she’s my wife, so if she ever wants to come back, she’s always more than willing to. The Kingdom’s just as much her as it was me, and Matt and [Adam] Cole.” The door’s always open for her. I will say this about Maria though, she’s very, as most people know, she’s very methodical. She’s very methodical in her decisions.”
He clarified, though, that her return will only happen once she is ready and that a decision on her future won’t be made hastily.
“When Maria comes back, she’ll come back when she wants to come back on her terms, doing what she wants to do because that’s how she’s always done it, and I’m sure as hell not going to tell her any other way. I will never say never, Maria back to the Kingdom, but where Maria’s mind is at now, I would definitely say when she returns to wrestling, it’ll be her decision [and] her choice doing what she wants to do. She’s been doing this a long time, and she’s done a lot in this industry. So she’s deserved a rest, and she deserves to come back when she wants to.”

At Ring of Honor Final Battle, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett defeated The Righteous but the night quickly turned on the former WWE Superstar as was injured in a post-match attack.
I wanted to wait till later this week to address my ankle because I didn’t want it to take away from #FinalBattle. But I think it’s better to get it out there & move past it. I have a hairline fracture in my ankle. Recovery time is about 6 weeks. I’ll be back sooner. @ringofhonor
