Mike Bennett: If People Don’t Believe In Neck Health, Punch Them In The Weiner

On the September 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, Roderick Strong seemingly aggravated his neck injury during his match against Samoa Joe. Strong collapsed to the canvas and claimed that he couldn’t see, though his eyes were closed. He was then stretchered to the back, and Matt Taven and Mike Bennett followed him.

Bennett and Taven then scored a decisive win against Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal on the September 15 episode of AEW Rampage. After the bell, Taven made it clear that they wanted a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Bennett then advocated for Neck Health Awareness Month.

“Taven, show them [your wristband]. It is neck health awareness month. So in support of neck health awareness month, I’m gonna show you guys how you handle someone who doesn’t believe in neck health. You go right up to ‘em, you look ‘em in the eye, you say, ‘Do you believe in neck health?’ They’ll say, ‘No.’ So you ball up your fist, you punch ‘em in the weiner. Then you pull ‘em in and you hit ‘em with a piledriver. Because neck health awareness is a real thing, and it matters. Roddy, we’re coming home, baby,” Bennett said.

A title match between MJF and Adam Cole and The Kingdom has not been announced as of this writing. Fightful will provide more information as it becomes available.
