Mideon Explains How He Would Turn Cody Rhodes Heel After Losing To Gunther At WWE WrestleMania 41
Mideon talks a potential Cody Rhodes heel turn.
Even dating back to his time in AEW, fans have been speculating on the possibility of a heel turn for ‘The American Nightmare’ himself, Cody Rhodes. As it currently stands, a turn is unlikely for Rhodes, as he’s positioned as the company’s top babyface.
On a recent episode of Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, Mideon gave his take on Cody’s current status and laid out a scenario where Rhodes could turn heel after losing to Gunther at WrestleMania.
Mideon: Do you watch ‘The Boys’? It’s a television show with superheroes, and the superheroes, they’re normal people. So the superheroes are bad people, but they’re have superpowers. The main guy [Homelander] is a Superman-type guy, and it could be just yeah, they kind of wear the same thing, but it was never intended that way. They have kind of the same gear. I think the Cody turn is going to be phenomenal. I would give it another year. We need to build another Roman, Roman’s on his way out. We need to build another big guy. No, I mean [Roman] has done what he’s done. He doesn’t need to be there Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. So we need another guy. They need several. I love Seth. Seth’s great. KO is great, and KO is one of the most believable guys. But you need to make one. Gunther I think can be that guy. I think Gunther, work it to WrestleMania, Gunther and Cody, and have Gunther beat Cody, and then Cody turn and say, ‘You guys never gave a shit about me. You just cared about my dad and the story and whatever you wanted to put on me. I’m here because your lives suck, and you’re miserable, so you were living vicariously through me. Well, where were you when ‘Dashing’ Cody Rhodes was here? Where were you when I was painting my stupid face as Stardust? None of you were there. I was there by myself, and now you want to cheer for Gunther? Screw that, I’m done with all of you.’ Then he goes super [heel]. That’s what I would do with Cody. But give it another year, or at least til Mania. He’s doing great with the babyface.
The Undertaker: I don’t think think he’s peaked yet. It’s inevitable, though. I think it’s inevitable eventually that they’ll turn on him.
