Mickie James Reveals Deonna Purrazzo’s Opponent For NWA EmPowerrr, Knockouts Title On The Line
Mickie James has revealed Deonna Purrazzo’s opponent for NWA EmPowerrr.
On the August 5 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Deonna Purrazzo and Matthew Rehwoldt came out to boast about their victory at Homecoming. The Virtuosa, however, was interrupted by Mickie James.
Deonna had previously been interrupted by James after winning at Slammiversary and refused her offer to be part of EmPowerrr until things were smoothed out by Gail Kim.
Mickie brought Deonna the contract to sign, saying that they only had a handshake deal for her to defend her title, but The Virtuosa refused until she knew her opponent. James obliged, bringing out Melina Perez.

Perez is best known for her time in WWE, where she held the Divas and Women’s Championships a combined 5-times.
NWA EmPowerrr will present the first-ever NWA Women’s Invitational. The winner of the tournament will face the NWA Women’s Champion at NWA 73 the very next night. Kamille is the reigning NWA Women’s Champion.
