In recent years, Mickie James has had a successful run in IMPACT Wrestling, as she has won the Knockouts World Championship twice. Mickie James made a one-off return to WWE as she competed in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble. With the 2024 Royal Rumble rapidly approaching, fans are already speculating about potential returns.

Speaking on Gabby AF, James reflected on competing in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble and joked that she would only return in 2024 if she was winning.

 

“I’m not coming back at this Rumble unless I’m winning because Hardcore Country at WrestleMania? It prints itself. Because the winner gets a title shot at WrestleMania. If you win the Rumble, you automatically get a title shot,” James said.

When asked who she would challenge if she got a title shot, James said, “Rhea. You know why? Because I’ve never faced her. I never had a chance to wrestle her. I think Mami needs to take on The Mother. [laughs]”

Mickie James last wrestled at IMPACT Bound For Glory on October 21. She recently discussed her status and said that she would be taking a step back for a bit. Check out her comments here.
