Mickie James Names Dream Opponent From AEW, NWA, WWE, And IMPACT

Mickie James still has quite a few names on her bucket list of dream opponents.

Mickie James recently made history by entering the WWE Royal Rumble as a representative of IMPACT. Mickie wants this portion of her career to be about creating opportunities for others and changing the game herself. Part of how she intends to do this is by wrestling in as many different promotions as possible. She has worked closely with the NWA in addition to becoming the Knockouts World Champion.

During a recent appearance on Women’s Wrestling Talk, Mickie James named several dream opponents from all major promotions currently active. Starting with IMPACT, Mickie said she wants to one day face Jordynne Grace.

“I am everywhere,” said Mickie. “I would say within IMPACT, maybe Jordynne Grace… Done a lot of cool things. She is very different than me in the ring and very stylistically and just a powerhouse. I think that would be really cool. NWA, I’m going to go with Kamille because she’s the champ. Period. I’ve watched her since she walked into NWA and how much she’s grown since then and just be the champion there. Represent the brand. I think she does a great job,” Mickie said of her husband’s former hired muscle.

As for AEW, a promotion that Mickie James has not yet competed in, James has one name in mind. That name is the AEW Women’s World Champion, Britt Baker. She also wants to face WWE’s Queen, Charlotte Flair.

“AEW, Britt Baker, I think, period,” Mickie said definitively. “I feel like yeah, I really kind of, I’ve met her a few times. I’ve just recently actually got to know her, like, got to chat with her more to kind of get to know her a little bit recently. I just, I always She’s kicking down doors and doing so much amazing stuff over there. She has been and obviously making her carving out her own kind of path through this whole thing. I applaud her for that. She’s kicking ass. That will be fun and a unique match that people wouldn’t expect and wouldn’t expect to see, obviously. I always go back to Charlotte, because that’s the one person there that I didn’t get to have a match with or a few and never face off with WWE. So there’s, you know, people everywhere.”

Recently, Mickie James suggested that WWE could continue its working relationship with IMPACT Wrestling in the future. Learn more here.
