Mick Foley weighs in on the miracle story.
March 20th of 2018 will be a day that wrestling fans from all over will remember as it was the day that former two-time WWE Champion Daniel Bryan was cleared by WWE doctors to return to in-ring competition after nearly three full years of undergoing medical evaluations and visiting with some of the top concussion specialists in the world for his concussion-related issues. Fans of the sport and those who have spent a great deal of time in the business have shared their excitement and happiness for the leader of the “Yes Movement”. One of those individuals who recently commented on Bryan’s clearance is WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley.
While speaking with TV Insider to promote his ’20 Years Of Hell’ tour the topic of Daniel Bryan came to the forefront and Mick Foley chimed in on the miracle story that is Daniel Bryan’s clearance to return to the squared circle.
“WWE is very safe as far as letting go of one of the biggest acts in the company for the sake of his own safety. They have people looking out for his best interest,” he said. “I’d been on the road and been so busy, I haven’t seen Daniel since he returned with the exception of the WrestleMania match. There are certain things he can do on house shows to make life easier on himself and nobody would think less of him if he worked a slightly less physical style. That’s something that I did toward the end of my career, and a lot of guys have done.”
Speaking of Daniel Bryan he will be in singles action against Big Cass at ‘Money In The Bank’ on June 17th. To take a look at the current match card for the PPV head over to Fightful’s “events” section.
